Citizens of The Chickamauga Nation have to ask themselves, “when will they receive equity from the Congress of the United States, Cabinet Level Departments, and the more than 10 states in which they have Trust Lands?”
What is equitable when the United States intentionally violates the Civil Rights of The Chickamauga Nation's Citizens by denying them their Equal Protection under the Law (14th Amendment) and Due Process (14th and 5th Amendments)?
How is it equitable that just a few days prior to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Brigadier General Griffith Rutherford is given orders to commit the war crimes of genocide against the Citizens of The Chickamauga Nation?
How is it equitable that the military of the United States, colonial militias, and their Native American allies raided Chickamauga villages, killed the weak and feeble elders and stole our women and children to be sold as sex slaves to the politically and militarily connected leaders of the colonies and soon to be states?
How is it equitable that every cabinet level agency of the United States, except the USDA, intentionally discriminates against the citizens of The Chickamauga Nation by denying them services granted to other Native American Tribes?
How is it equitable when the Citizens of The Chickamauga Nation are denied healthcare, housing, food, and educational services by Cabinet level Departments?
How is it equitable when The Chickamauga Nation high school graduates cannot receive Native American based Scholarships and Grants even though they are Federally Recognized by the Congress and Presidents of the United States?
How is it equitable when during a meeting in Washington DC in 2019 with the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs demanded that the National Executive Chiefs of The Chickamauga Nation return to their homes and have their identity, history, anthropology, and ethnicity academically verified when Congress does not demand the same of any other racial or ethnic group in this country?
How is it equitable that in response to the demands of Congress, The Chickamauga Nation has currently produced almost 600,000 pages of academically verified research and the Congress, President, nor Cabinet level Members refuse to meet to discuss issues of equity and inclusion?
The Chickamauga Nation is not seeking special rights or privileges, they are seeking to have the United States, Cabinet Level Departments, and the more than 10 states live up to the promises made in more than 16 Treaties made with The Chickamauga Nation. They are not seeking something that is not deserved because they pre-paid for every service and benefit promised to them in Treaty. They are not asking for something that they have not paid for by being the beneficiaries of the war crimes of genocide committed directly toward them by the military of the United States, colonial militias, and their Native American allies. They are not asking for anything that they have not already paid for in blood and treasure.
Where is the Equity and Inclusion?
