The Longest War in American History prior to the Afghanistan War was the Chickamauga Wars, from June of 1776 - 1794 with the actual final battles extending to 1804. The United States does not include this in their streamers for some reason. In late June of 1776, prior to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress requested General Rutherford to begin enrolling soldiers to attack the Chickamauga which they did for the following 20+ years.
We have over 330 Military Campaign Streamers we place on our Chickamauga Nation Flags. Those include military campaigns, assassinations of our Chiefs and leaders, and destruction of military forts.
I want to ask a pointed question as a Chickamauga, "Why do Native American Tribes fly a flag which celebrates the genocidal murder, rape, pillaging, and plunder of their people?" Further, "Why do Native American Tribes fly a flag which celebrates the continued ethnic cleansing of their people?"
