1783, May 30: Treaty of Long Swamp Creek. Confirmed the northern boundary of the State of Georgia with the Cherokee, between the latter and that state, with the Cherokee ceding large amounts of land between the Savannah and Chattahoochee Rivers to the Province of Georgia.
