1768, March 12: Treaty of Johnson Hall. Guaranteed peace between the Cherokee on one side and the Iroquois, the Seven Confederate Nations, and the Caughnawaga on the other.
1800, March 12: Account of Silas Dinsmoor, Temporary Agent to the Cherokee Nation of Indians - Simmons indicates that Dinsmoor's claims for compensation are inadmissible. He bases this on the contention of the Secretary of War that if final settlements are allowed revision, there will be no end to settlements.
