On Thursday, September 23, the Washington DC office of Representative Teresa Leger Fernandez informed me that I would have to go to the website for the Representative and fill out a request for her scheduler. Below is the information from the request:
7 Statute 18 November 28, 1785 – The Treaty of Hopewell ARTICLE XII. That the Indians may have full confidence in the justice of the United States, respecting their interests, they shall have the right to send a deputy of their choice, whenever they think fit, to Congress
We seek an immediate meeting with Representative Fernandez and also with the House Committee on Indigenous People.
We are a Federally Recognized Tribe. Both the Executive Branch and Legislative Branch have recognized The Chickamauga Nation. We are co-signers to over 16 treaties, have had land held in trust for us by the United States, annuities paid directly to us, have never been terminated and have had a continuous government since before the Declaration of Independence.
We met with the staff of Senator Hoeven on July 18, 2019 to be placed on the Serviced Tribes Roll as well as to inform the Senate that we are at risk of continued ethnic Cleansing. We were dismissed to return home and gain academically verified research about our history and anthropology. We now have about 500,000 pages of academically verified research valued at tens of millions of dollars. Since that meeting, where we requested to be placed on the Serviced Tribes Roll, we have had hundreds of our Citizens die from different causes many of which are associated from not being on the Serviced Tribes Roll.
We will be posting this request on our Website and all future contact or failure to contact.
