The Cultural, Historical, and Religious Beginnings of The Chickamauga Nation are Tied Directly into the Mound Building Culture of Mesoamerica (circa 1500 BC - BCE) and the American Mississippi Bottoms (Circa 600 - 800 AD - CE).
Our Written Governmental Beginnings are Found in the Great Law of Peace Circa 1100 AD (CE)
The Lower Town Chickamauga united with the Iroquois Confederacy as early as the 1760s and joined the Confederacy and its various iterations beginning in the 1770s.
