EDITORIAL: Ignorance is Bliss. It is hard to believe a General can be so ignorant as to the Chickamauga and their relationship with the Cherokee in thinking the cherokee "Grand Council" would hold sway over a group that is not ethnically, culturally, or religiously affiliated with the cherokee. While "ignorance is bliss," it is a deadly atribute when it comes to the United States dealing with the Chickamauga and not understanding their deep seated, blood curdling contempt for the genocidal cherokee.
To prove the point, a few days after this Grand Council, the Lower Town Chickamauga declared war on the United States for failure to uphold their treaty responsibilities by keeping the illegal immigrant colonial squatters off of their lands and also failure to protect the Chickamauga from the genocide of the United States military, militias and their cherokee allies. In doing so, GW's 4th annual address was changed at the last minute to include the Chickamauga and the need for the Congress to determine war and peace with the Chickamauga.
