Description William Blount, Governor of Southwest Territory, encloses copies of his letters to Colonel Whitley and General Benjamin Logan, regarding the illegal attacks on Lower Cherokee towns. The governor is quite upset about these rogue actions, as the Cherokee - and in particular, their principal chief Double-head - are in a state of peace with the United States.
